Hey guys,

I have heard some talk on here about the hinges on our tail gates. Mainly that they are week. I just so happend to look at mine..... and they look bent. but the gate still shuts fine. The gaps are all good too. So Maybe they are soposed to look like that?

Anyway here are some pics of mine. Let me know what ya think.

Agreed.

Um.....oh shlt! OK, You wanna tell me how you fixed it! replacements?
One week later a girl ran a red light and fixed it for me!!! Needless the say the truck is gone, 65 mph gone. My 06 hasn't done this and I have been even harder on it than the 05. If you are still under warranty Nissan will fix it. They were going to fix mine and had ordered the part.

The hinges on my 08 sure don't look like that Jordo. The tailgate is pretty sloppy though - tends to rattle on bumpy roads. I am going to mention that when I go in for the fuel sender recall.....

did you find tires sweetpee?
Hahahah, Yeah, I'm getting the same tires you have! Should be here buy the end of the week! I'm super pumped about it!

All the places I went to over the weekend didnt have any MT's in stock or once I saw them in person...... They reminded me of a mud tire on a mid 70's F250. Why that reminded me of that.... I'm not sure.

I guess I realy like on your tires, the knobs are larger from side to side and left to right, which looks beter IMO.

Even the Parnelli's that I showed on my other thread, look like a mid 70's tire how the tread knobs are skinny and tread is extra deep. Kumho's just look better.

You will be happy with them ,they are directional tire so you can only rotate front to back. After this trail ride im going to have mine flipped over on the rim so I can run them on the other side of the truck for awhile. The are really knobby so you will feel it when stopping but only at like 5mph.What size did you get.

I can live with feeling them at 5 MPH. I did not know they were directional, but oh well, now! I'm sure they will tell me how often I will need to rotate to keep them healthy.

And I got the 285/75/16. I kinda hope the rub a little so I can justify a 1.5 inch body lift. Then I'll be set..... for a little any way. Hahaha

Mine did the same thing when my truck was a little over a year old. The dealership replaced mine at no charge, but I don't think there was a TSB on it. Since you are out of warranty I am not sure if they will cover it or not.

They have changed the hinges, but the dealership could not tell me if the new hinges are interchangeable with the earlier models.
