I finally got the rest of my exhaust that i have been waiting on for months.

Magnaflow 3 chamber XL muffler P/N 13740 $73
Magnaflow Dodge Dakota 3" mandrel bent rear section P/N 15032 $52

I test fitted the rear section and it is damned near perfect. The only issue is where the rear section goes over the axle it is about 8-10 inches down from the exhaust hanger on the frame so the hanger will be long but other than that it clears everything quite easily and looks like it will leave more than enough room for any articulation i would see.

Here is a fuzzy pic i took last night of the lay out. Will be welding everything up tonight and will post pictures. The exhaust will have a 90* exit right behind the drivers side rear mudflap (your passenger side)

sweet dude! Thats pretty funny that you used the dakota tail section of the exhaust. I had installed my old exhaust setup on a '02 3.9 v6 dakota and it, oddly enough, fit just fine.

Don't forget videos too!

while i was searching for the muffler i saw the tail pipes on summit and thought hmm...the dakota is midsize and its 3"...for $56 how could i go wrong. Makes you wonder why the frontier exhaust is $500.

i will be posting a vid once its complete and one with just the open down pipe :)

Amen. I swear its all about price gouging and greed. Though stainless is kinda pricey, coupled with R&D :/

Lookin forward to those vids+build pix.

that was a blackberry vid so thats why it sucked. I didnt get to install the rear section so i just got the muffler on.

I am running 21psi on the GT2860 with a 0.64 A/R turbine. If i run the precompressor W/I on the same wastegate setting i get 25-26psi but i have only run it for testing purposes.

Will see if i can get a vid on the way home from work with the truck in motion. I can actually hear the intake now and ohh what i have been missing. The sound of the air being pulled into the turbo is awesome.

They are SUPER responsive throttle input wise even though we still have the same 40mph WOT restriction.

That sounds pretty sick as it is. This might be silly, but does it black smoke quite a bit under WOT? I wonder if you could benefit from removing the WOT control B.S.

it smokes when i first floor it but once the boost starts climbing the smoke disappears damn near all together especially if i have the W/I on

i could definitely do away with the WOT restriction. You can feel and hear the difference as the injection pump lets you have more fuel earlier on in the throttle range.

The problem is the UK tuners can reprogram the ECU's but they will not even tell me if they are using the Consult 3 to do it so i can buy a consult 3 and buy a map off them. I really wish this setup went to the US

Do the Aussies have tuners for their 2.5TDi?

you know i just went on a rant about that on the UK forums lol

The only economical ECU options we have are the DTE injector piggy back and a 1 time remap by people who do not realize how lucrative selling the actual hardware to do this is. I suspect that they are reprogramming the stock ECU using the Consult 3. The general manager of Nissan Jamaica has said the Consult 3 can do it and it has been used in the UK to reflash the Navara's into making less peak torque under the curve to save the clutches (whats the point of having a diesel then?)

I would love for any of the UK tuners to just confirm this but they think everyone is going to go out and spend $2k on a consult 3 and cut them out of the loop not realizing they could make money off the maps for people like me who are in the middle of no where.

If i was not selling it i would be buying a Consult 3 and asking a couple of the American diesel tuners advice by sending them the stock maps and asking them the relative questions and either see what it would cost to bring one of those guys down or gather enough information to start altering the maps myself.

If the people who are able to reprogram the stock ECU actually sold the tuning capability in a small programmer with 1 performance map and then offered a service where if you made any changes you could tell them and they would sell you another map to upload.

Sell a hand held plug in ODB2 port tuner for $800-$1k and they will make a mint between europe and asia (remember it costs more to make things in the UK because of the currency difference).

I WISH THE DIESEL MOTOR'S START GOING TO THE US! I will be buying another Navara once the 3.0L hits the US market in 20 years so i can get decent support for it. It wouldn't take you guys but about a year before there was a bolt on aftermarket exhaust manifold/turbo/downpipe, interooler, exhaust, proper intake kits, programmers....hell probably cams.
