Hi all,

I have a 2015 Pro4x and I'm getting near 100K miles and as I want to keep the truck going for a lot longer I'm doing some upgrades and maintenance. Yesterday I was putting on an ARB cover for the rear differential and while I was back there I brushed and painted the entire thing, and I'm also replacing the E-Locker Harness Differential Connector and Differential Solenoid Switch. They're not broken but I did have the flashing "ABS, diff lock, slip lights" during a trip a couple of years ago. Although I have not had it since I'd be more comfortable knowing that they're switched out at least.

The harness was no trouble switching out, however, the solenoid is pretty hard stuck in there. The bolt is slightly rounded from the start and a 19mm spanner fits pretty snug but it keeps spinning. Is there any special tool that is needed or will it just be penetrating oil and potentially drilling through it? If it's not causing issues at the moment I must just leave it in that case and keeping the new with me as a spare...

I did look in the service manual but didn't find anything, although per my wife I'm terrible at finding stuff...

See pictures below.

Thanks in advance!

After a bit more searching in the service manual it looks like 1) Z1-offroad has the name wrong. Per the service manual it's a "Differential lock position switch", and 2) you need to remove propeller shaft, axle shafts, bearings & differential case assembly before you can remove the lock position switch. Has anyone done this before? It seems like a lot of hassle for something that's supposed to sense the pressure of the diff lock to see if it's engaged or not.
