What "sticky situations" are you talking about that you think a locker might be beneficial? If you're relatively new to the off road scene, my suggestion is that you just take the truck out four wheeling in its current state a whole bunch of times. That's the only way you'll really be able to determine whether you'll be doing the type of off roading where a locker (or any other mod) is justified. Build the truck based on what you actually need, not what you theorize you might need.
