I believe the light sensor probably has to do with automatic headlights, which I think only come on the LE Crew Cab, so if you don't have an auto position on the light switch stalk, you probably don't have the light sensor.

05_NISMO_4X4,
Great! Based on your input I was able to find the info on pages 2-26 & 2-27 of the operators manual. You are correct I do not have the auto light sensor.

Thanks

Nismo54,
I should be receiving the dash mat hopefulyy Wed of next week. I will gladly post a pic.
I requested the color "smoke" that appeared to be the closest to charcoal that was available!

That's the color I thought would be best for my charcoal interior too. Know it's hard to get a good picture inside the cab but it would be nice to see it installed. Let us know what you think of it. Thanks

Nismo54,
I received the dash mat today, though it is a little "poofy" in spots the mat does fit well and should lie falt in a few days!. I refuse to use those fastener strips.

I am hoping that my Dashmat will be here this week. It looks nice and I am glad to have
the protection from the sun. It also helps keep the windshield from getting a film on
it from the chemicals in the dash. Definitely my cup of tea.

We have three vehicles with 2 (with no dash covers) in the garage and the "Frontier" will be parked in the driveway. The Yuma summers are murder on interior, so I am hoping this dash mat will help protect the dash.

Major,
Thanks for the picture, I like it. Think the mat will protect the dash especially where you are and it looks good too. Planning on ordering one this week. I was looking at the CoverKing brand which comes in charcoal carpet for about 40 bucks. On their site, they ask about speaker cutouts, may look better without them but it could muffle the speakers some, have to think about that. Was also wondering about the center dash tray and see it's cutout around yours.

It does looks good, thanks again. Hopefully I can post some pictures of my truck soon.

Major,

Has your Dashmat finally conformed to your dash or is it still a little "poofy"? I re-
ceived the Dashmats for my truck and my wife's car and they too are on the "poofy"
side.

Are you using the velcro attachments? I am not sure if I want to do that or not. If you ever have to remove the Dashmat I am not sure if the velcro strips will come off of the dash without doing damage.

I think with the strips some of the poofy would disappear.

Ordered the CoverKing dashmat Tuesday from AutoZone came in yesterday. Much faster and cheaper than online. Fit and color match is pretty good no real poofiness. Did use the velcro straps, also my instructions said it would lay flatter after being in the sun for awhile. Cost 29.99 plus tax.

Couldn't get the pictures to post will try later.

The dash mat is still a little "poofey" what I intend on doing is folding it over in places and then place some books for weight! There are a couple of spots, that stick-up a little. I will fold/tuck in those spots and place a book on thme for the evening and see how it looks!

What I did discover is the dash mat will stay in place without those velcro strips. The dash is pretty flat on top! As I am reluctant to use those as it will mess up the dash!

Major,

Thanks for the input and ouch for the matador. I'll let mine sit in the sun once it warms up enough and see if that will cure my problem. I was only going to use the velcro strips to get rid of the poofy look. Mine seems to stay in place pretty well. I am not sure the Dashmat will ever contour to the front of the dash without the velcro strips.

Nismo54,
That mat looks great! Also I like the color better than mine. My problem I was guessing at the color due to limited colors available.

That should do you a long time!

Great Photos!

Nismo54,

I like the looks of your dash mat. Your cover appears to cover the tray area whereas
the Dashmat does not. Does your mat fit the tray area well allowing it to still function?
Can you get a close up of that area?

I am thinking about getting one like yours as I do not like the way the Dashmat is conforming to my dash so far.
