I want to go to a synthetic oil in my 2.5L TD.
What synthetic grade oils are you guys using? I am thinking Penrite but any reliable and known brand would do.
I did not want to get Nissan oil.

Whats wrong with Nissan oil other than Nissans not a oil company, and what benefits do you think you will gain useing a fully synthetic oil unless you intened to do oil changes greater than the 10.000k recommened oil change intervals, you will just be spending money you dont need to_Oils are of a very high quality today.:crikey:

I do not want to buy Nissans oil. Nissans oil is semi synthetic, what is that exactly? I want to use synthetic oil because I have used it before in bikes and v8 holdens and have been happy with little or no wear when pulling down.

Hey mate, Nissan now have a full synthetic low ash oil to suit vehicles fitted with dpf. (autos) Not sure but I am sure this would still suit manuals.

I have been using Nulon 5w30 and cant fault it. Reasonably priced and is full synthetic.

I change every 5k

My local Nissan dealer doesn't use Nissan branded oil but rather uses Shell Helix Fully Synthetic for my auto D40. This oil meets all OEM design specs.
