ive seen them on a couple xterras with shrock front bumpers but could never figure out what they were

its like a rubber bushing that goes on your d-ring mount to stop it from clanking and bouncing around

if i remember it was something from a toilet and could be bought at home depot or lowes

anybody know what im talking about, i go through a d-ring a year due to rust (they clank then chips paint then rusts)

noooo, those are cool, but im talking about the things that actually go on the threaded pin of the d-ring, to prevent it from moving around

Oh. I think I have seen them just use PCV hose.

I just remove my D-ring when I am not using them.

Yeah, I was gona suggest a piece of rubber hose. Try and find one that will slide over the pin and voila. My .02

I like the ballcock idea, that's real cheap and simple.

I finally got around to putting some ballcocks on each clevis pin. Nice cheap solution, and no more clanking coming from the rear.

Next time, I might try some polyurethane bushings since I can tell the ballcocks are rubbing and chafing with any rotation of the clevis - Or perhaps a section of water hose around the pin.
