Hey guys! Great resource your providing. I have an 05 KC SE. It was stock, until I got on this website. Just ordered a Volant CAI with powercore filter and I'm looking at superchips and a magnaflow. Any suggestions?

Also, how do you guys feel about grille guards? I'm slightly torn as to whether it'll look good or not.

Lastly, I have a Lund Genesis roll up tonneau cover for the 05-10 KC without utility tracks. It's brand new in the box....I'll take the best offer for it. I have one on my truck and I love it.

Wallingford...u?

It'd be nice to get rid of this tonneau cover...do you know anybody that is looking for one?

I also have the grill guard that I don't think I want anymore. It fit's Pathfinders and Frontiers. I'll take the best off on that as well.

Otherwise, they go onto Ebay

Welcome to the club.

I have the Volant without the powercore and love it, although some guys have had problems with the powercore filter. (Example - http://www.clubfrontier.org/forums/f11/volant-install-w-powercore-pics-lots-problem-solution-hope-so-writeup-58027/) The Superchips is well worth the money. I personally will be going custom on my exhaust but lot of people on here have installed the Magnaflow kit and been happy with it.

Post up the tonneau and grill guard in the Buy/Sell/Trade section.

I work in Danbury...ouch-1hr + commute one way!

That's why I need the better gas mileage. Not sure if the cost of all these performance enhancers will offset the cost in gas

Welcome! I live in Danbury but work in Stamford. I feel your pain with the commute. Read my sig, with all that I'm getting a solid 18.5mpg on an 80 mile round trip every day. The mods you're looking at will improve the mpg if you keep your foot off the loud pedal.

Wow...more CTers than I thought. I try to stay off the gas as much as possible. It'll be hard to do after I install the exhaust : )

Sweet Mods! Where those NISMO headers a tough install?

4.5 hours but I didn't want to bother with it so I had the shop install them when they built the dual exhaust. Now it's probably harder to find a pair of the NISMO headers then it is to install them.

I've been on here less than a week and I've already done damage.

Does anybody have any suggestions on fog lights? I'd like some cheap aftermarket ones. Blinglights on ebay seem to be the cheapest, but I'm not sure if they'll fit correctly.

No idea on the foglights. A lot of guy go with the factory ones. My truck came with them. Might want to post the question in the appropriate subforum since the introduction threads generally don't get looked at all that often.

I had blinglights on a Tundra I owned, they were crap. OEM ones look pretty good and the OEM stalk makes for a clean install.

Thanks for the input. I'll stay away from those then.

Out of curiosity...were they crap quality as far as lighting, fit, or both?

The lighting was actually decent. But the lights were prewired together from the factory but the wires weren't long enough to reach where the lights had to go. I called them and they said that is a common complaint for that truck and I need to cut the wires and splice a "spacer" in :thatswck:

But for the Frontier, its nice because the truck is prewired for the OEM fogs and the stock stalk is replaced by a stock Nissan stalk with the foglight switch on it. Looks clean IMO without aftermarket switches.
