I know it's been discussed a million times but I plan on tackling this job this weekend and have a couple questions. First I will be using sawzall and possibly a cut off wheel what blades have worked the best cutting threw the bolts and washers ? And is there a way to get the lower ball joint out without pulling the axle out? And any tips would be appreciated thanks .

not 100% sure if you can, but once you are down to that level its literally one more clip and one big nut.

my woman is very good at getting in there and getting those big nuts off, so i always just remove the axle when i get to that point.

Have a lot of extra blades ready. Hotrod said they were easy to cut, but the last one I did was a nightmare... (maybe they were aftermarket bolts?) Also, after that fiasco I don't recommend a cordless sawzall unless you have 10 batteries ready to go! A zip disk would be a preferable tool, but you'll have to keep an eye on it to make sure you're only cutting what you want to be cutting!

I have a bunch of Milwaukee blades for metal 18tpi torch one I think before I start cutting would it be worth it to heat them up and try knocking them out of I'm going to be replacing the whole arm anyway?
