Is this common?
I have a 05 CC-shortbed, SE, 4x4, V6, 4L, 6SpdManual with 108K on it. New clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, etc about 98K.
Is there is life span on the shift linkage (manual trans)? A bushing?
I have noticed, when pulling up to a stop or just going slowly (<5mph) in first gear, that there is a clicking sound which I can also feel in the shifter. Is sounds as though it is related to the rotation of the transmission, because the speed of the clicking is in relation to the speed of the transmission also rotating. Also, I have noticed in the last 10K miles or so, that the noise of shifting from 1st to 2nd has gotten noisier. (again, this is a manual trans)
No dash lights are on.
I have crawled underneath and nothing seems obvious.
What could this be?
Thank you

Could easily be a shifter bushing down at the lever point in the mechanism. Pop the boot up and look down into and snap a pic to post
