So I just had my truck inspected and they told me my clutch was almost out, And want to charge me like 450 for a new one and a new flywheel, Along with 500 to install it.

I was wondering If anyone knew where to get a good clutch for way less and a place that can install it for alot less too, as the total estimated was $1100.

I am looking for a good clutch myself, but would like a little help so I dont make a dumb decision.

Napa has good clutches, or 4x4parts.com has centerfarse clutches. The fly wheel should be machinable. If it aint slipping or the bearing going out drive it till it does. Get a second opinion.

FWIW, two wheel drives are pretty easy to do clutches in if your mechaniclly apt.

I did a clutch replacement job on my 02 DR and it wasn't too bad. It most certainly wasn't fun, but it beats the $1200 that shops want to do a clutch job. My advice would be to buy a repair manual. Thats what i did and it helped SOOOOO much.
