Looked all over the place and I'm pretty sure they don't sell clear corner headlights for the 05-06 Frontier. I've been on other forums for Dodge Dakotas and Toyota Tacomas and they do the baking technique where they pop their headlights in the oven, take apart the headlight, and remove the orange reflectors.

Anyone out there (or heard of someone) try this with the 05-06 Frontier? Haven't read anything on this so wondering if it can even be done at all...

The baking idea works but I wouldn't do it. I have used a heat gun before to get the same results plus you have more control. It takes a little longer and more patients with the heat gun but think about the price of a new headlight.

thanks for the pic steedsta. what site did you get the pic from? maybe we can find a way to contact him/her.

clear corners are always a small but nice modification.

looks like the demand is there. hopefully a supplier will do something and create one...

That is a pic of a Nissan Navara. The Frontier's international brother!! Those lights may come stock on a Navara. But you are right there should be a way to get those headlights, maybe even through Nissan somehow?? Or a european Nissan dealer??

I'm pretty sure you can't order parts from the Nissan website and I actually did a google search for nissan navara headlights. Some parts places do come up from the UK, Austrailia, New Zealand, etc. but they all asked for phone #'s. I'm pretty sure these will also be a pretty expensive part and international shipping will be expensive too.

Since most of the vehicles over here have the amber side lights it must be a law to have them. If that is the case then Nissan would probably not import them for us.
I'll check with my parts man next time I am in there.

There might also be issues with the headlights used on the Navaras. They may not be
legal over here and our lights might not work in the Navara light housings.

The Navara front license frame for the European license plates was over $100 and
the shipping was pretty steep as well. I would be afraid to guess what it wouild cost to
have a pair shipped over here, but I would guess some where between $700 and
a $1000.

Hopefully the aftermarket will produce one for us at a more reasonable price.

thats the link to the page i found the pic on
those wheels are stock over there too
It also has an available 2.5 liter turbo diesel. I would love to have that!!

As for the lights, white or clear isn't illegal as long as they flash yellow. So the clear corners would be okay! Any other color is considered impersonating an emergency vehicle.

Soppy,

You might check on the price of the Navara light housing for us. There would probably be several of us interested in this if the price is not too high. See if they will give us a group buy if we get enough lights ordered. We also would need to know what the cost
of shipping would be.

Oh yes, see if they will ship the lights to each individual as we are located in several
different states.

Thank you for the offer.
