I hope this is just the ABS system test but who knows. This noise is bugging the crap out of me. Like clockwork everytime i start my vehicle my first initial shift from 1-2nd gear is followed by a specific clank every time. Once this happens it does not do it again unti the vehicle is turned off. Anyone got any ideas on this would help. Thanks again

Same thing. Have had it since the truck was new and never had an issue other than hearing the sound.

My tranny was replaced about 8,000 miles ago with a brand new one. This new one does that... My old one did not. I always wondered about it too!

And I have never heard this discussed befor either.


I would say it sounds like a "tink" in bubblely water. <---- yeah I know, weird, but thats what it reminds me of.

Agreed. Mine sounds...... I sware. It sounds like high presure fluid, with a short burst of bobbles in the fluid.
