I know this sounds stupid, but it appears as though there is no transmission dipstick on my 2010 4.0L Frontier! I looked all under the hood and even checked in the owners manual but nothing is listed!!

So what gives?

I just towed an RV over the weekend and I wanted to check the fluids out before, during, and after the trip but I couldn't check the transmission fluid.

Its on the passenger side. It is bolted down so there is no siimple pull like the oil dipstick.

I saw that but it looked like a vent. No why would Nissan bolt down the dip stick and not put it in the owners manual? I wonder if it has too much positive pressure in the pan which would blow a conventional dip stick out?

Thanx!

F that! I have tools in my truck and I'll find out from a Nissan Tech friend if there's anything special about it (in nuetral or park stuff like that).

Thanks guys!
