You may also look for VG30 headers, I believe I may have those and they will fit properly but I have yet to install them.

I have a bunch of other things I have been doing to the truck. I am going to hold off until I smog it next month for my registration though. This way I at least have two years straight with them on and not having it inspected.

there was a thread on this whole 3.0 headers on a 3.3 a while back i believe. conclusion was with some cut, rotate, and weld modifications they will fit but i think there was quite a bit of header ping. from the cheap headers combined with modifications. search it. when you open it youll know cause the guy was pissed about it and he had multi colored size 100000 font. lol

I tried to find that thread and searched for hours with no luck on finding it. What is exhaust ping?

Header ping is ticking coming from the header itself mostly from the tight fit combined with expansion and contraction of the material in the header causing a little bit of movement at the flange.

i would look for actual dynos and proved gains before i went through all the trouble......

I'm going to wait until after I smog my truck this year to install. I know the guy at the smog place I go to which does dyno tests too so if I can work out a deal I'll dyno before and after smog and headers.
