I thought this might be a nice eye opener. I thought I would change the colors of the dome lights to a different color, other than the white that comes installed. Like a black light or blue bulb. I have a Silver frontier with a Tan interior cloth.

Does anyone know A) how easy is it to change the bulbs, B) where i can get some?, and C) can anyone recommend a color bulb that will look cool when the doors are opened and the interior is illuminated.

I thought I might turn the back seat dome light off and only change the front lights, this way if I need a white light at all, i can turn the back seat ones on.

I would tell you if you want to change the lights take it to a mobile electronics store, they should carry the bulb and would change it for u. As for the color the black light or blue would look good! My truck does not have the rear dome light and the front is enough to light the truck up but if you are just going to se the fromts I would suggest the blue to give you enough light!

Blue always looks good. You can buy the actual bulb or get blue covers.

I have just installed a pair of led lights (T 10 Bulbs) in the front map lights and took a couple of pic's the pics didn't turn out the best, they're actually brighter than the pics show.

The led lights are way less bright but you can still read as well as before.
They were supose to be white but they are slightly blue

you have to remember one thing though. blue light kills your night vision. if you read maps or have passengers that read while your driving you may want to rethink the blue lights. red is best for night vision. also if you go with a black light its gonna show every piece of lint thats in the truck.

Red is okay, but washes colors out to me. I will be going with green. It doen't degrade your night vision either, and it's a bit brighter than red.
Are there any tricks to pulling the covers to get at the bulbs? I didn't see a repl. guide in the SM.

Whichever color you choose, be careful about turning it on at night while driving. Not sure what the legislation really covers in your state, but I would bet that blue light in the cabin while moving down the road is grounds for a ticket.
