changing daytime running lights for canadian models

Does anyone out there know how to change their daytime headlights to have the park lights come on instead? (sort of tacoma ish) on Canadian models that have the headlights that come on automatically.

Only if the scumbags pull you over! Yeah, you're right but I figure if they gave you an inspection notice or whatever you could pop the module back in. Besides, they'd have to actually put down the Tim Hortons coffee and doughnuts to pull you over!
That would be a bit of work. Since the daytime lights run through a module that restricts the voltage to the highbeams to only ~40%. So if you traced the wires and swapped them out your park lights would be really dim. You could pull the module, and wire your park lights direct to the ignition, but you'll probably have your high beam indicator on all the time (as mine did in my f-150 and jeep)
If there is a way I'd also like to know. I'd like to have my fog lights on instead.

Hmm, sounds like this will take a little thinking...maybe a relay setup or something?
Was yours a US truck brought into Canada? If so mine is wired to the running lights and fogs, looks nice. If so let me know and I can have a look as to how it was wired. the fogs and running lights are at full power not 40%.
No mine is a canadian model.
