I have searched and people tell me where its at but i cant find it. does anyone have a pic of where it is, I need to put some fluid in. Its an 05 frontier 5spd. please help.

passenger side of truck back toward firewall.Its the small black circle in the middle of the pic.I think its a 10-12mm bolt

I think in the manual it says only have a service tech check it thats why its capped like that

Ok well I have a problem because I dont have that on my truck. Its no where to be found. help.

damn what years your truck? we all have the same motor I can see that they would move the stick for any reason

oh im an auto trans im not sure if you are but if not there might lie the not having it problem

Its an 05, I've been staring at your pic and my truck and its not there. it looks like theres a bracket that should be holding something. but no dipstick with a bolt. I wonder if it broke off. When i took it to get the oil changed they said it was low but couldnt fill it because it was sealed. I wonder if they thought it was sealed because it was missing.

its sealed but how would they know its low if the couldnt check it?hmm computers?

Thats what I asked the lady but she couldnt tell me. I'm going to take it in this weekend. Was trying to avoid the dealership.

Are you saying the "tube" for the dipstick is there but there is no stick and cap??

Is your truck a manual transmission? i thought those diddnt have a dipstick, and you checked the fulid from the hole in the side of the trans? Maybe thats why?

Well I found out that the manual trans doesnt have a dipstick. So dodged a bullet there I was begining to worry. All is well took it in to get the trans fluid changed. Thanks for the help guys.

I still dont know, I guess the stuck their finger in it and made a guess. haha
