keep your eye on the temp gauge and make sure everything is in order before you do it; i.e. tire pressure, hoses and belts are fine etc.

as long as you're not gonna tow a unimog you should be good.

Looks like the curb weight of the SEC coupe is 3915 pounds. Unless you have a lot of climbing to do, that's well within the Frontier's capabilities. Even with climbing, just keep an eye on the temperature and give the transmission some breaks on the way up.

3915 is just over the weight limit that uhaul has for towing a rwd car on one of their tow dolly. the problem isn't a limitation of the truck its a limitation of the dolly cause the truck fits all the requirements. find a dolly that is good for up to 4000 and your good. or you could just get a car trailer with brakes.

Sorry to thread jack, but I'm thinking about buying a camp trailer that is 28 feet long and weighs in at 4646 lbs. That gives me 1500lbs for water and gear...do you think I can get away with it? I had my springs beefed up, and had no problems pulling another camper with a total weight of around 5000-5500lbs...but it was 19 feet

I have pulled cars and campers all over with mine. Eats tires and gas, but truck doesnt mind. Pulled an ext ford aerostar on car hauler @75 with A/C on. only pulled for 60 miles, but she never even broke a sweat. She did not like pushing it backwards up the steep drive though, that put a load on the tranny. Granted it took about 5 mins to get up as it was 11 at night and no street lights plus big ditches on both sides.

I wouldn't even sweat it. My 4x2 kind cab has taken much heavier loads than that and is still running fine. With a car dolly your truck is only going to be supporting the front end and guiding the car so it will not be supporting the entire weight. Don't pay attention to UHaul's website, they didn't even look at the truck I was driving the last time I rented a dolly. The guy said do you have a hitch, ok here you go. They make their money how ever they can make it. Don't quote me on this because there is that very small chance that you could get an a-hole that wants to follow the books but it is unlikely.
