I got a check engine light along with the "VDC off" and "slip" lights this week. Well I pulled code p0340 cam position sensor and changed the sensor on the drivers side but the problem persists with the exact same fault code p0340. no other codes present. really scratching my head on this one. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

My truck has the 4.0 v-6 with about 71,000 miles on it and I got a new battery a few months ago.
I will probably look at the wires next. Thanks for the info FFTR.
