I just got bent over at the dealer on the cabin filter. They charged me 54 bucks plus tax for these. I cann't find them anywhere else up here in canada. I checked courtesy parts but by the time it's shipped here it pretty close. I have also seen a post on the titan forums where somene had bulit washable ones for the titans that he sold. He used a washable furnace media and put it in an aluminium frame. Anyone seen any washable ones for the frontier?

I bought filters from ebay for $10 shipped to the house. I just put them in today, my old ones were nasty. Next time don't pay that outrageous price.

Yeah the problem is the shipping to Canada. Most places will only ship with UPS or FedEx and shipping is 23-30 bucks plus a generally unknow brokerage fee so the price gets back up there pretty quick. Even the rockauto ones would only save me a couple bucks after shipping and brokerage, and many ebay sellers either won't ship to canada or only with UPS. So a washable one would be prefereable even it it cost up front.

When you search on ebay, just go into the advanced search options and pick only items located in Canada. That way you don't get jacked in the *** by UPS. Like I said, I'm IN Canada and didn't have any extra charges.

If Canada has some of the same automotive parts stores that are in the U.S. try these common brands:

* Purolator C25764 (Purolator fit my '06 fine)
* Wix 24683
* AutoZone P3602

frontier cabin filter

After reading all the postings about cabin filter replacement I thought my Nissan 2000 SE CC 6Cyl 3.3, have been neglected for 10 years with 109,000 mileage so I went to PepBoys which sells the lowest price cabin filter... I was told their system has no listing of Frontier 2000 Cabin Filter which we both agreed either the store has no stock or Nissan is the only dealer selling the cabin filter. He gave me a 2001 Cabin Filter which is a set of 2 which is as described here and in You Tube and in How.com. Drove home and took out the glove compartment, which looked different than what I saw here and in You Tube. There was a black box with 6 screws, I removed the screws, one of them was difficult to remove as there was no space to maneuver, finally I was able ro remove that screw but even then the box could not be fully removed. Inside. there was what looked like a filter with metal covering which i thought the one to be replaced.... poking here and there seems like it was fixed, then I realized it looked like the condenser/evaporator of my air con and I was right!!! I almost destroyed it in my desire to replace the cabin filter which is nowhere to be found.....remembering what the guy at the store said, I decided he may have been right, there is no listing of cabin fliter for frontier 2000 SE CC 6 Cyl, because there is NONE in the vehicle!!! There is nothing to be replaced!!!
The Irony??.... I almost destroyed the air conditioner of my Frontier....
Anybody knew where the cabin filter of Nissan Frontier 2000 SE CC is????:confused::thatswck:

I have a 2002 frontier and I'm having the same issue like you. I removed the glove box and could not find the filter. I am not even able to take out that big black box. Too many hidden screws holding it together. Have you been able to find anything else regarding this cabin filter? I cannot think of any other place where this could be installed in.

^^Might be possible its under the wiper cowl area. My moms Buick (I know its not a Nissan) is under the hood and just back under the wiper cowl. Possible they did not have them back in early 2000.

If the truck uses them they go in from the inside of the truck only.
