I've finally made the decision of duratracs over bfg ATs. And I'm pretty sure i'm going with the stock 265/75/16 tire size for my pro4x. First question, other than load rating and tire ply, are there any differences between their C and E rated tires? Also, i'm pretty sure I want to mount the tires white letter out, as my truck is white, and the current tires look good with the white letter out. If anyone running the duratrac white letters out could post a pic, that would be great. Even better if your truck is white.

weight...i run c load 265's on mine. durable, great in the snow but i run the snowflake rated so the wear is pretty quick. loud on highway but my 1 year old daughter loves the sound.
regular tire rotations are important on these tires. They will not be all that loud if you rotate every oil change. I've got 20 some thousand on mine and still have plenty of tread left, so no, they don't wear too quick.

The C load rating looks to be the best option in this size for our trucks, I don't want the extra weight, or need the more durable sidewalls of the E rated tires. Is there a regular and a snow rated version of this tire?

Was quoted $194 at a local goodyear shop and $1021 mounted/balanced w/road hazard protection.

Not sure $100 for the protection is worth it. I've never had it on any tires i've ever purchased. And $82 in tax.

So, I can buy them locally for the same price as discount tire, but would have to pay an additional $82 in taxes. Mount and balance with lifetime balance is $99. I haven't bought tires in so long, I don't know how much things should cost.. $25 mouth and balance per tire sounds pretty standard?

Whatever price they give you, discount will match it, plus FREE life time balance & rotation. I shop around every time & I always end up back at discount. And you can't beat 6 months same as cash financing.

White letters out or in is a matter of personal taste. If you like the white letters out, then by all means, mount them out.

The last 2 with black wheels and light accents look great with the white out, but as Pat said, with the stock silver wheel if may be a bit much.

Nice looking trucks! I'm just not a huge fan of the lettering on the duratracs, so I've gone back an forth. And now I'm considering a different tire altogether. Ordering this afternoon though, rugged trails as just about bald @ 21k miles. At the dealer now getting my oil changed-free for life- and they are trying to sell me the dynapros.

One of the double pictures you posted shows your truck coated pretty well in mud. If you're mudding, you may want to give some more thought to the Duratracs if you haven't ordered yet.
