Yesterday my tuner just shut off while driving. I took in in the house and plugged it into my computer and it started right up. So I am at a loss now. I checked all my connections in the truck, HDMI cable from unit to OBD plug, Power cable (which is not even needed), and the fuse on the adapter plug. Everything seems fine. So I think that it has something to do with my truck's ODB plug, can they go bad?

I've never looked at one of those ports but can you get to the wire behind each pin and push it to the front? Maybe a wire isn't locked in place and when you plug in you're pushing it out the back. Just a shot in the dark...

HMM IDK I'll go check...

*Checked* Nope...
There is a 20 AMP fuse in the fuse block under the hood. If you don't have power in the lower dash cigarette lighter outlet, that is the fuse that is blown.

There is also a 15 AMP power outlet fuse in the interior fuse box insdie the cabin on the right hand side of the dash that controls the upper cigarette lighter outlet (the one that is switched on and off with the ignition).

I hope this helps.

All fuses are good... I have no idea what could be wrong... Guess I'll have to wait to tomorrow to call BD... It sucks because I have to bring my truck in to the dealer and I wanted to set my tune back to stock so they don't know I have a tuner...

I just went out connected my tuner to my laptop through USB connection (turns on unit) connected the tuner to OBD port using the HDMI cable and adapter. Everything works fine... So at least I know I can swap tunes now at least... But what does this mean? Is my OBD port not sending power through the adapter plug to start the tuner? Or is the adapter broken?

I'm curious how this turned out for you? Been reading through all the threads I can find about the bully dog gt and the few I have found have some posts that could scare off someone thinking about getting one..
