Hi everyone,

I've been reading posts here for a couple years, now. My truck hasn't really needed anything up until now and I figured I'd reach out to my fellow Frontier owners for help.

I have a broken leaf spring on the driver side. From what I've been reading, it might be worth it to buy the OME CS150R Dakar leaf springs as a replacement and get a little bit of lift. I understand I would want to get some shocks as well (Bilstein 5125s?).

A couple questions.

1. My leaf spring is really broken. How safe is it to drive on while I wait for the new ones? I've included a pic of what they look like below. (not my truck but part of the leaf spring is missing like the one in the picture)

2. Should I order the shackles with the leaf springs or just the bushings and U-bolts?

Thanks in advance!

My 2010 at 100,000 miles broke drivers side first and passengers side a month later. I didn't drive it as it can turn and go through the tire. The spring shop replaced the leaf for only $135 each side installed.

@100k I think I would get new springs, shocks, bushings, and shackles. If you are going to tear it apart might as well replace everything. And with that amount of miles I'm sure it's all shot.
