Whats everybody doing for brakes, as far as aftermarket geared towards wheelin/commuting. Ive noticed as far as in traffic and all that my brakes just aren't very responsive. So i was planning on overhauling them on Friday. I don't know if i should do just the front or back or both. And im not sure what i want to upgrade to. I thought about swappin out the fronts for the titan brakes since im swapping but i dont think its necessary quite yet. And ive also heard that rhe fronty brakeing system in general is just not all that strong. So recomendations on pads and rotors if ya got em please.

The brakes actually are prety strong. If you need them, they'll definately react and slow the truck in a hurry. The thing to remember is these trucks are pushing 5,000lbs...which takes a lot of braking energy to stop, meaning you have to apply a lot more pressure - which equates to either stiff feeling brakes with short travel that are hard to apply, or soft feeling brakes that are easy to apply and require more pedal travel - we have the latter.

I practically made my truck leap backwards on the highway the other day, someone started merging into my lane...

I had some pads from Hawke Racing modified to fit and they stop well. I have the drilled and slotted rotors from DBA and the ceramic pads and the truck pulls up hard especially when I am playing on the racetrack.

upgrading to stainless braided lines up front along with good pads and rotors will help a good deal. I ran the R1 concepts rotors and pads. Being that you offroad your truck stay with smooth rotors drilled or slotted rotors offroad tend to trap mud and silt killing the life of your rotor and pads
