Kinda a silly question but I noticed this a couple days ago for the first time. Everytime I hit my brakes I hear a "click" coming from the switch at the break pedal. I know how the system works, but am suprised I can hear it everytime. The truck is brand new (2009 SE) and am suprised so I wasnt sure if it was normal or not? Drove an older Ranger at work last night and absolutely no noise coming from the brake pedal.

Its not the gear selector release, its the actual switch that operates the brake lights I believe. It happens as I'm driving, never have noticed it in any other vehicle. Just noticed it the other day, currently have 2200 miles.

Hmmm...

Checked my wifes car and its silent so not sure what the deal is. Drove it 250 miles in the last few days and it did it everytime. Now its kinda buggin' me. I need to take it in for its first oil change soon and will inquire. I am sure that they will tell me its normal just like every other minor irritant that I have discovered.

Anyone else able to chime in on the clicking brake light switch?
