Hi folks. I bought a used '08 a week ago, am slowly getting to know the new (to me) wheels. This is the mother of all transitions, as I'm coming from a Caddy Deville. I need the truck to tow a small boat, and for ice fishing. I'm recently retired (3 years), and spending more time outdoors. It's deep winter here ATM, and am loving the 4WD.

So, about this Frontier, it's got 195,000 kms, runs great, has a K & N intake set-up, and is the NISMO off road edition. I found front end skittish - just had it in at the dealer to get a front end alignment done... which it badly needed, as the steering wheel was off center. A salesman at the dealer was kind enough to print off a carproof for me. Oh man, it's had six accidents! One on 01 Dec front center... might explain the steering! I changed the battery, as it's -30C here, had a weak battery. After that the VDC & SLIP warning lights came on. Dealer adjusted a steering sensor and reset that. I had a full fluids check, and transmission flush carried out. Despite the accident history, and needing to sort a few things out, this could be a keeper - engine runs well, transmission and drivetrain seem fine. Lots of stuff's been done to it, brakes and rotors, etc.

Question - I do have a tail gate latching issue. What's the correct forum to post up looking for technical advice?

Thnx

Congratulations! The Frontier should perform well for you! Put your post in General Discussion, I think. Also look up SMOD, a serious problem common to 2005-2010 Frontiers. I am assuming that over the years yours has been taken care of but who knows? My daughter bought a 2007 Xterra and chose not to heed my advice and it cost her a radiator and a new transmission... Over 6K USD. Better safe than sorry!
