Hey all,

I went to Borrego Springs over the weekend with a group of guys from work. I had a lot of fun in the sand, but some of the trails we climbed scared me. I can't believe how capable my truck is. There was a Jeep trail that we went on where there were several spots where I was on three wheel with my head hanging out the window looking straight down a cliff. One of the guys behind me said my rear right wheel was at least mid-thigh height off the ground. Scary! Anyhow, I suppose some pix are in order, so here we go.

Looks like a fun trail, but what is everyone doing out of their trucks? Did they just want to get in the pictures?

I guess I am just an old school 4 wheeler, why look at where you're going from out of the truck, drive it instead. Then again, my old truck didn't have any warrantee left and it was lifted 3 inches.

Still, a good trail.

That was a tough part on the trail. We had 4 trucks and nobody wanted to stay inside them while we were waiting for each one to make it up the obstacle. And the girls needed to relieve themselves too.

Not on that hill. But I came down on the frame pretty hard once on another part of the trail, which surprisingly didn't do any damage, and smashed the front skid plate in a little more. I need to get a real skid plate. That stock one is a joke. Ground clearance didn't really seem to be an issue this time. It was when I was off-roading outside of Vegas.

This looks like tons of fun! Muddin' is neat to watch others but not what I'd like to do. Wish I lived closer to the Rockies.

I suspect this type of activity is why my insurance is higher than on the Siverado c/c my Frontier replaced. Seems like the Frontier is a more sportier off road and the insureance companies know this.
