Borla Dual Exhaust Build

I'm tired of my grunty old magnaflow, time for some renovations:

2.25" Dual in/out Borla Turbo XL 19" muffler

About 12" after the muffler 2 x Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonators (Kinda a gamble here, these are $100 a piece but have proven successful at dampening drone) After hearing it on a 350z with a similar setup I was sold.

Side exit left and right side just behind the rear leafs. I am anticipating a quiet yet very deep tone, with most of the gain in the mid-range. But i will know in a week or two for sure. I'll be sure to post a vid, and some honest opinions

That sounds pretty good. Probably as good of a setup as I've heard yet. Total cost?

Borla Pro XS - $277 shipped
2x Vibrant ultra quiet resonators - 190 shipped
Install - $700 cash... All mandrel bent stainless 12+ bends, 6 hangers. I couldn't hack it down anymore they spent 8 hours on it.

Wow, looks like I'm staying stock. I was hoping for maybe $700 total. That's a shrock front bumper or some really nice 35" tires for me. Damn. Oh well, moving on. Thanks for sharing though. This just fell way low on my list of priorities, but it will be done eventually.

Sounds like you got your prioritys straight, shrock and tires were first for me too. I'm sure a similar setup could be done for less but I paid the price for being cheap on my last one. You can go ahead and buy an exhaust system for half the price, but IMO your not saving much. Maybe I'm just a picky SOB but a raspy sounding half assed exhasut totally spoils the other featueres of the truck for me.

I would agree. Sounds and looks good, but you got raped on the install price. Dry, 2 fingers, no lube, straight up. $700, you paid that monkeys wage for the whole week.

Indeed I did, my arse is still soar. On the other hand the job they did is truly a work of art, if you look at the borla website, a similar system would be in the $1500-2000 range. I've got a couple budys with custom duals, their asses still soar as well. Not much you can do if you don't have a buddy in the business

Thought I'd update with some proper pics with the axle out. Made some adjustments recently to make room for a 35" spare.

That last support with the 4x4 is just to relive the cantelever... Wouldnt let my dog chill under there if it wasn't safe.
