I was thinking of ordering the Nissan Body side molding for my truck, but my salesman said it's only available in a mat black color. I was really wanting it in red to match the truck. Does anyone know if Nissan actually sells the body side molding in Red? I know the LE has body colored molding standard, but thaey don't offer the LE in Azet Red, so I can't order the LE trim. Thanks for any help!

Which company did you order from, and if you don't mind asking, what is their price? I'll check the websites later, I'm in the middle of installing back-up sensors on my truck. I hope they have them in red!

I ordered from Yournissanparts.com, they had the body side molding in Aztec red! I sure hope they are fairly easy to install! Thanks for the heads-up in the web sites!

[That is where I got them, what, $38 each. I don't think it was that bad. I already got a ding in my rear drivers door from some idiot that doesn't respect others doors with their own. Not a bad ding, but noticable to me! I hope these help some.

Actually, the price is quite good! I asked my saleman about getting a set (He told me he would order me any accessories at his cost), when he called back he said they were only available in black, and his cost was $100.00! So, $85.00 for body colored side molding is a real deal!

He also told me his cost of the sliding bed extender was $235.00 and they had it for $195.00, so their prices are much better than the Nissan employee price (if the guy was even telling me the truth about his cost!). I ended up negotiating the Sliding Bed Extender into the deal at no additional cost, so that was cool!

Crewcab05se,

Have you received and installed your body side molding yet? Mine are scheduled to arive tomorrow, so will be installing them on Saturday. If you've installed yours already, how difficult was it? I'm assuming they are just peel and stick...

They are just Peel and Stick, and the info you are getting from your salesman is Probably also correct, figure this, the Parts dept sells to the Sales dept at a pre determined Mark up, so if he said HIS cost is 100.00 it is because of the mark up to sales. Thank You for the Good Reviews, It is people like you that I enjoy selling too, You only expect what you order, not to magically get a 1000.00 part for 300.00. I run an honest business, and try to give the best price i can while still turning a profit. Let me know if there is anything i can help you guys out with!

Jerseyparts,

Thanks for the nice compliment! According to the tracking number you provided, they should be waiting at my front door when I get home tonight! I can't wait to get them installed and run down to the Dealership and show my salesman my newest addition and pass on your website so he can really help out the next guy!

As for other parts, I am interested in locating an on/off switch that I can wire in-line with the beeper from the back-up sensor I recently installed. I want to install the switch in the available spot next to the bed light switch on the dash to the left of the steering column. It just needs to be a two position switch that matches the OEM 2005 Frontier switchs, and doesn't need to have any markings (although if there is one like from the Armada or Pathfinder that have a little speaker icon, that would be really cool!). If you can get a part like that, please PM me with details!

Thanks again on your help with my recent order, your customer service is second to none!

Yes, peel and stick. I washed the truck, then rubbed it down with a microfiber towel. The directions give you stuff on prepaint methods, and alcohol. So I didn't follow the directions exactly. You measure up from the door bottom and stick masking tape for markers. I found the most important thing is making sure the two pieces match up. Not hard and looks good. If it was there earlier, I wouldn't have someones car door dent in my rear door.

Thanks Jersyparts. I just want to make sure they match and look like oem switches.

I installed the body side molding yesterday, it took about an hour all told. It was a relatively easy process. Instead of running masking tape all the way down the side of the truck like the instructions called for, I just measured the frone and rear of the front door and marked it with a small piece of tape like the instructions directed and then used my laser level to run a beam across both points, which gave me a reference for the entire side of the truck for both front and rear molding peices. After getting everything lined up, it was a peice of cake to install the molding!

I must say that it makes the truck look much more finished. All I need now are the side steps and I'll have a NISMO LE Model! (Minus the lighted vanity mirrors)

I as well have the body moldings. Due to the fact I have the Aztec Red I went with the flat black color. I purchased them online at http://www.mynissanparts.com/default.aspx for $34.00 a piece. The website is owned and operated by Trophy Nissan in Mesquite TX. I was pleased with there customer service and quick service. I looked at the other sites and found them to be the cheapest and still very good services. I have bought other items from them as well.

I just recieved the parts yesterday and plan to install them over the weekend, hopefully.

I am new here as I just picked up a new 05 Nismo CC on Saturday. I am going to be ordering the side steps and body molding also. I'm thinking of getting the color coded side molding but I may get the black ones. I'm not sure which will look better.

Thanks

What color is your new truck? Mine is Aztec Red, and the color coded side molding really finishes off the look of the truck. I also added the side steps, so now I call my truck a NISMO LE! I got all the parts from Jersey Parts at www.yournissanparts.com they had the best prices I found, and the service is outstanding!

I'd have to dig up the invoice, but I'm pretty sure it was less than $80.00. If you go to www.yournissanparts.com, choose the molding style (KC or CC) and the color, then enter the code clbttn where it asks for the coupon, you'll get 10% off the order. It will also show the shipping, and all this is prior to being asked for any credit card info, so you can exit at this point and not be committed to the urchase, but still know a good price with shipping. When I shopped around, I found a couple places that listed the cost of the molding for less, but their shipping rates were way high. Overall, I think yournissanparts.com had the best price. Here's a link to another forum where I was able to upload some pictures: http://www.frontiertalk.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=489&PN=1
