I have a 2010 Frontier Pro-4x with a Rockford Fosgate sound system (stock in that package).
I have a iPhone6 running iOS 11.0.3
Problem: My truck won't bluetooth any GPS turn by turn instructions over the truck speakers. It used to. Not sure if an OS update caused this or....?
Facts: Yes, bluetooth is turned on and phone is not muted. In Google Maps Navigation Settings, "play voice over Bluetooth" is enable but no dice. If I enable, "play as Bluetooth phone call" it works but it literally makes a phone call every time it provides instructions which creates lag and doesn't play well with other things I'm doing on the phone, streaming music etc.
I downloaded Waze today and got the same results. The "sound out" is set to device default which should output via the speakers on the truck.
I've told my phone to forget my truck, and I've told my truck to forget my phone and I've repaired both of them. I've tried apple maps, Google maps and Waze and all 3 behave the exact same.
This drives me crazy because it used to work and now it doesn't.
ullout:
Any advice is appreciated.
