Hello - so for quite awhile my blower/fan switch (0-4) isn't working in the #2 position. I did inquire about a new switch, but have found that you need to order the entire center console -- so before doing that -- I'd like to hear if anyone has repaired the actual switch? I'd have to imagine there is some conductor that has slipped out of place, is corroded, dirty, etc. and just not making a connection. -- I have read other threads and heard of a blower resistor?? I'm not certain this plays into only the #2 slot not working... So if there is anybody who has actually dove into repairing the switch - i'd like to hear what it entails. I do have soldering/dvm to troubleshooting. Thx...

Most failures a related to the resistor network going bad. One of the traces burns up and typically give you all or nothing (High or Off)... It is possible that only one speed could fail. I was able to remove mine and see the damaged trace on the board. About $25-30 for the new resistor network. I repaired the old one and have a spare. (Will probably never need it now)...

If that doesn't pan out, it is likely the switch. I have not had the switch apart, but have to imagine it is a sealed unit and probably not repairable by cleaning, etc. You should be able to jumper the connector pins to simulate the switch function and test everything else though.

Usually this, on most vehicles.

If that's not a speed you use frequently, you can wait...

My experience is based off of a Nissan hardbody, I had the same issue. I removed the climate controls, the switch was pretty dirty, cleaned the contact points with electrical cleaner and roughed them up with some scotch brite. Put it all back together and it was good as new. I'm not sure how much changed their climate controls between the hardbody and the Frontier though.

I do have the same problem with my Blower Fan NOT working at setting 1. When I set it there: I can ear an engine/alternator noise fluctuation but the fan itself not blowing at all (setting at 1). Also not heat at idle but recently add to coolant lost so probably related to air in the system as I can red from other posts. Any part # for that resistor network ? Is it easy to access ?
Thanks

I believe the Nissan part number is 27150-5Z000. It’s called a blower motor resistor; “network” is not in the name.

You can get aftermarket versions at most parts store, though. I’ve replaced it twice and the aftermarket has lasted at least as long as the replacement OEM part did for ~ half the price.
