I will have to call michelin BFG monday to confirm but what I have been told load range E will be the only ply we can get for our trucks. Please call them and complain. Load range E is NOT snow rated the D is the only one worth a $hit.

I saw that too. On the BFG website I don't think they list it anymore in load range D. Tirerack had some left last I checked. That's some serious bull$hit if they get rid of that tire. E load range is way too much for any truck under a full size... IMO of course.

EDIT: Nor does the BFG site have 285/75R16 in load range D...

I emailed BFG yesterday... And their response...

Michael,

Thank you for your email. We welcome the opportunity to serve you. The load
range D and E both have a 3rd steel belt in the requested size. If your
vehicle requires a load range D you can go to an E. But if it requires an E
you cannot go to a lower load range tire. The decision to add and
discontinue tires would be a marketing decision. I will forward your email
to marketing for review.
