I am wondering what the general opinions are about bedlining the floorboards in trucks. Alec mentioned it in my build thread as an alternative to getting rubber floormats. How do you think it would affect resale value? I know he said he would pay more for a truck with the floorboards lined but I don't really know about everyone else. I could always put the carpet back over it once I decide to sell.

I suppose ti always depends on whose buying it, some peopel might think of it as a plus and some might think of it as a wicked mod, personally I'd think it was sick, much better than some stained salt-encrusted torn up carpet that a lot of vehicles tend to get like over the year, but I think overall it really owuldn't affect the resale value drastically

Heard a story awhile back too that some guy had splurged and COMPLETELY did the entire outside and inside of his ride in bedliner...

Like it is with all modifications, the perspective buyer is the one that decides on the resale value. While I like the idea of doing this kind of mod, I would shy away of buying a vehicle that I knew nothing about that had it done, only because it could hide things.

You said something about getting an x, def no then. If you are questioning keeping your truck then there is no point in putting more money into it

That is a good point. Of course, Carpet could hide things just as well, if not better.

Also a good point. However, I have not decided whether that is going to happen yet or not. If I do get an x, then I might very well do this in it. I was really just looking to see what everyone thought about bedlining it. I don't plan on doing this anytime soon, if at all.

I'll look for some pic's of my ranger that I prayed bed liner. I removed the seats, everything, even did the ceiling. It was grey, looked sweet. I also drilled holes under the seats just a little for drain plugs.

Don't dump money into it if you are going to sell it, imo.
your truck is also 11 years old - I wouldn't be terribly concerned hehe. Most of us on here own about 50% of the truck and the banks own the rest lol.

My little brother had bed liner sprayed in his jeep and i loved it. Got to spend about 7 months with the jeep while he was in iraq. Very easy to clean we drilled a few holes in the low spots of the floor boards so when we hosed down the interior it drained out. I will try and find some pics. The jeep was definitely a second vehicle. No radio heat or ac hell no vents just a speedo and a bikini top.
