i am getting a bed cover for the truck 2002 XE CC long bed. now on alot of sites show covers for 4.5 ft beds and 6ft beds. Now when i measured mine the outer lip was 6.5ft. i saw this size for the REG cab frontier. trying to figure out if i can buy the reg cab and be ok or do i buy the one for thr CC which looks alittle short

let me know

Good question! I always thought there were only two bed lengths available in the first gen. I'm seriously considering ordering one for my truck... kind of a Christmas present to me... :D

If the manufacture says they make a 6ft tonneau cover for a Nissan Frontier 1st gen then it will work.

Please note that not all bed covers fit 100%.

Since I have the Truzedo the Nissan Bed extender hits the toneau release mechanism every time the extender is flipped up. It's not bad but you do have to adjust the bed extender to get it to work correctly.

And yes 1st gen only came with two bed lengths (4.5 and 6ft). Unless I missed something here LOL

I have an Extang BlackMax tonneau. I prefer the snaps over velcro. I wish I had a bed extender :(
Not sure where you live but the snaps suck in winter. The Velcro has been awesome.

Oh I love my bed externder. Who ever designed this bed extender knew his stuff. When not extending the bed it folds in for going grocery shopping so that the bags don't all go to the front of the bed. When extending you can get 7 foot material in without tie downs. Bed extender locks in place by the latch mechanism of the tail gate when extended. If you lock the tailgate the bed extender cannot be stolen in any position (without some force). To remove it tilt it 90 degrees and it pops right out with little effort.

They do suck in winter but I just don't trust the velcro.....
Never had a single problem with the velcro. Mine rolls up one handed on one side with zero issues.

There should be basically two sizes. CC long bed/King cab and CC short bed.

I opted for a Bak-Flip cover. Overall I'm happy with it. My previous cover was a Nissan cover which was good also.

I like the Bak flip because it's a hard cover thats easy to fold up and carry items.

I have the truxsport cover too and it's great. I have had it for about 3 months. I love the fact that your bed is secure. The only way to open up the cover is to open the tailgate, which can be locked.

Like joe said, the extender hits the tonneau mechanism. I took a hammer to my bed extender bars and bent them slightly and it fits fine now.

The cover has something like a full 2 year warranty. If the velcro fails after that time, machine sewing on new velcro is cake anyway.
