the schematics and the pins are just rediculous. I put in a Viper 5902 not too long ago and it took:
Prepwork - 30 minutes - taping wire bundles and making everything inconspicuous.
Initial install - 45 minutes - mounting brain, dei bypass, running bundles and dissasembling the truck (makes it a whole lot easier if you remove the lower dash below the steering column.
Misc Wiring - 30 minutes - ran 8 gauge wire from battery to drivers kick for +12 for remote start, connecting wires in kick panel, running hood pin, etc.
Steering column wires - 10 mins - Only wires needed here are the starter, all other wires found in drivers kick!
BCM Wires - 2 hours.... - most schematics are straight forward, nissan isnt. They inverted the pin numbers for some reason vs what is labelled on the schematics. Basically you have to go by colors. Due to the confusion, I metered all my wires and double checked each connection. I found the specified colors were right, but pin numbers did not match.
BTW the bypass I used was the DEI DLPK and all I had to wire was the can bus hi and lo wires along with power and ground. With such connections, this module provided a keyless bypass, tach wire, door pin wires, and door lock controls. Very nice!
