I want to install a battery isolator in my Front.to keep an auxiliary battery charged. I need to run a wire from the isolator and connect in to the factory trailer tow harness 12V line. I understand this harness is found behind the passenger foot well kick panel. Where would you recommend splicing or? hooking into the harness? What color is the 12V wire in the harness. Thanks for any and all assistance.

You could locate a switched source in the fuse box under the hood and use a tap-a-fuse to trigger the isolator. I've done this before when doing dual/tri battery setup a for stereos before and you don't have to cut anything.

Used this same exact thing on GTI, GLI for dual isolated batteries. Make sure you don't mix lead acid and AGM batteries in this configuration. I should also add look for an empty location to use first, then begin looking at the populates locations.
