Man that sucks, Sorry to hear that:(
It is a sick feeling for sure
how bad is it? truck going to be ok? air bags go off?
No air bags went off, there is some substantial body damage. The drive shaft split in two the leaf springs and shocks are toast.
The important part is that you're OK. Trucks is repair/replacable...that's what insurance is for.
so only rear end damage?

would give you room for a 3 link, nice rear axle new suspension?

you never know. id rather lose a finger or two than my truck get hurt.
How in the world did you split your drive shaft in two??

Not a scratch on me, good no doubt, but breaks my heart

THe rear driver side cab and bed are pretty beat up, with some roof damage. Maybe nice new stuff who knows. Me too makes me sad to see it like that

I have no idea but when I got out to check it out drive shaft in two pieces.
That sucks a big one. Glad that you are ok and I hope that you can fix the truck.
Sucks man, but at least you're not hurt~!
Dang man, that sucks. What happened exactly?
What did you hit or what hit you?

Glad you are okay... that is the most important thing.
I might be able to get some pics. I side swipped a tree, but walked away without a scratch

Wow, glad you're okay man! sheesh.. sucks about your truck though, thats gotta be sickening. The previous gen' isn't so replaceable, more sentimental value is held in those trucks I think.

My dad slid off the road in his 09 3/4ton gmc newyears night... front right tie-rod broke somehow before he went off the road, he said he wasn't sliding and then he felt a clunk in the steering wheel and he flew off the road sideways and demolished a pretty big tree... he also split his driveline in half due to the tree under his truck. Yikes, he was alright too.
That sucks, glad you are alright
glad your ok.
before you let your insurance total the truck, make them find you a suitable replacement.
I side swiped a tree myself about a year after I got the truck. there is a small dent on the cab and a wrinkle in the bed.
If your mechanically inclined, buy the truck back out of salvage and rebuild it.
Glad you are okay. There are many people who don't get the opportunity to say they walked away. I wrecked a new Maxima years ago and you walk to talk about being bummed......
Hopefully you have collision coverage. Good luck to you.
