I wanted to know where the backup sensor wire is inside the cabin of 2005 Frontier Crewcab automatic. I have installed Kenwood DNX7100 and need to tap into the sensor. I didn't want to do it underneath the hood if I don't have to. I don't feel comfortable doing it there is why. If I have to I will. I have soldered and shrink wrapped my connections at the backup light and then threaded the video cable through the back cabin vent but it looks like I have to tap the sensor in order for the radio to use the backup camera. Appreciate any help anyone can provide me. Thanks in advance.

I posted a pic of where it is at on a manual shift. You can look there and see if you have the same harness. Just look through my posts.

Um, maybe I misread what he is trying to do. OP, do you need this for bypass to play DVDs, or for a back up camera?

Need it for the back up camera. I have the by pass working for DVD and navigation. I would like to say thank all of you for the responses and will try the BCM I think.

IMO, better to find the Rev. wire @ the trailer harness(PS kick panel) than to cut into the BCM harness.

I ran mine from the trailer wiring under the truck's passenger area. My truck was not fortunate enough to have that wire in the interior kick.
