Ok, i know this has been discussed, but I can't seem to find the exact answer i'm looking for.

My question is: I have a 2010 SE CC with the standard cd head unit. I want to add an AUX input for my ipod. Is there a wire or adapter or tap available to do this? I don't want a FM transmitter. I've tried 3 and they all suck since the fcc thing.

So, is there a solution other than FM transmitter or new head unit?

wired FM transmitters are the best of them. im not sure you could add the factory input. it would require you to pull the dash and radio to check the rear of the deck.
+1.

I have the cheapo single-disc CD unit and a wired FM transmitter. Sound is clear in the install is easy and completely reversible. The FM transmitter can be had at Best Buy for $45 and you'll need an antenna adapter from Crutchfield and some cords from Radio Shack. Entire install took me 45 minutes, in the dark using a flashlight and map lights in the truck, slam dunk. I get good clear sound, NEVER any interference and the stereo looks cheap so thieves aren't interested.
