sometimes it's easier to order something as standard stock and take it locally to get custom work. had a customer I used to work with a lot who ordered a lot of firearms, and instead of ordering custom finishes and paying out the nose up front, he'd take it to the local company that did powder coats or anodizing and have them do it on their next batch. Especially with powder coats if they are running a batch of parts through you may can get them to slide your part in to the assembly line. this guy normally paid very little to get this done. Thought about getting some of my stuff done this way.
