Didn't someone else do this with 1" blocks but also had to cut the plastic behind the seat so that they could move up the seat lock.

Only down side to this mod is if you have people that are tall in the back, they will hate you, lol.

Raising rear seats 2008 Nissan Navara / Frontier
Ok well this is really more for the Picture whores on here :p So I hope it’s in the right section

Note in advance, I really suck at writing this sort of stuff so if you have any question just ask.

I decided to raise the rear seats in order to gain as much room as I could to get maximum box volume.

First I brought some Stainless steel hex rod, using a lathe machined down the rod drilled and tapped a thread basically making a spacer and extension for the existing stud for the seat.

Then cutting up some 40mm x 50mm aluminium bar to match the footprint of the existing seat base, drilling a hole to match the new spacer/stud extension.

A little hard to see but there are two supports (one at each end)that follow the contour of the wheel arch which means when you raise the rear the front feet will now be moved back and hence not lining up with the original holes in the floor. To fix this new hardened grade bolts are used to anchor the blocks in the original holes, then a new thread is tapped in to the right position to line up with the holes in the feet

Re bolting the seat base and the result gives me 40mm extra in height. Over all I’m happy with the out come and it is even more sturdy now than out of the factory

From this

To this

Still have to adjust the latch on the back rest of the seat so that they open and close as per the original specs, will update with the pics when I finish that part.

Not that special compared to the other work in here, but hopefully it might help someone out

Cheers

Daniel
