If so, does anyone know a company who makes or sales blocks by themselves to fit an 06 KC? All the shops I have talked to do not have any listing and want to sell me the air bag setup. Really haven't seen anything online either.

I need a 2-3" lift only in the rear cause I load the back and also pull a trailer.

Thanks for any help.

I think Calamini has a rear block lift for the frontier.
you might have to get the front leveling kit as well.

I think this is what your talking about.
It would probably be better if you could find an add a leaf for the rear springs.

I was also wondering if any kind of lift would be a warranty issue. I will ask the Nissan dealer before I do anything.

The truck rides so good now, I'd hate to do anything to mess that up. Not sure about the add-a-leaf, wouldn't it make the ride alot stiffer?

I had airshocks on my Jeep serveral different times and kept blowing them out but that may be because I was overloading it. I may check to see if any are available yet.

I was just thinking that lift blocks may be the cheap way to go and could remove them easier if I needed.

Thanks for the comments and help.

Shackles will slightly change the pinion angle, which in turn will change the angle the pinion u-joint operates at. This might bring out a slight vibration and reduce the life of the u-joint. Whenever doing a suspension change, make sure driveline angles are still correct, and correct them by using degree shims (which would require the same procedure as if installing blocks), so you might as well do the blocks to begin with.

Not a big fan of blocks either, but under 3" they are very safe if installed properly, with NEW u-bolts, and torqued to spec.

frontin is right. don't block. you can get plenty of lift with a properly set overload spring in the rear. just right for trailer sag. i've got one and swear by it.

A trailer shop tried to sell me a "superspring". Goes on over the leafs and kicks in when the sag gets to a certain point. About $350 installed. I guess that would be an overload spring? They also told me there was a load leveler for the trailer that would help, not sure what that is though.

Some good ideas...still wondering which one would be best for me. I'll keep looking but I do appreciate the help.

I checked with Midas today, the Mgr told me the same thing JackB...blocks can screw up the leafs. He recommended add-a leaf or airshocks. Since I can't find any airshocks, guess I don't have much of a choice now. That's why I asked, thanks.

I really prefer shackles because the cause less axlewrap and I have had blocks fail on me before.

I think I want an explanation of this. the blocks are damn near the same length as the spring perch. the spring is in contact with the same amount of flat surface with the block or without. so, if blocks can screw up the leaf, I guess the factory setup can as well?

oh well, if my leafs get screwed, I'll just throw in some custom lift springs and be done with it anyway.
