After a short chat with Common, I guilted myself into taking pictures of the truck with that ARB bumper. I put it on after a young man drove his car straight into the passenger side front fender/wheel on December 23rd.... and I was parked at my brother's house! No doubt the kid was a) speeding, b) high or drunk; and c) texting on his phone when he hit the truck. Felt bad for him, as we all make mistakes in life.... today, there is no forgiveness for being human.

Anyway, I decided to put the bumper on while I had a better chance. I ordered the bumper and sent it to the shop. They knocked the price off of the cheap plastic parts and bumper that they didn't need and I ended paying about 600 and change for it. I put the fog lamps in myself. Cleaned up the wiring on the bottom and have pictures of that as well if interested. I did not yet buy a winch, as my truck will sit for another year as I do another tour in the War theater, so I will wait until I come back.

Here are the pics. If you have any questions, let me know.

Thanks....Actually, while they are recessed, they are probably less so than the lamps on the standard bumper.... which reminds me, I just sold my factory fog lamps, as they DO NOT fit in this ARB bumper.... that is something that is not very clear on the ARB page.... you will pay about another 90 dollars for their lamps.

What kinda wait/ship time did the ARB piece take, in order for the body shop to get your truck in/out?

Thank You for your service.

Thanks for the well wishes. I originally went w/Shrockworks and was about two weeks into the fix when I decided to call them.... that is when I found out that it would be a 12-16 week wait! I canceled that and placed a call to ARB.... they had the pictured bumper in stock and shipped it w/in 4 days (from CA to PA!). I tell you that I think it was a better choice.... this bumper is really put together...

The boy did some real damage to my truck.... cracked tie rods, etc.... The shop took their time putting it together.... about one month. I wanted them to do a meticulous job and they sure did!

Classic Automotive in Mars PA. These folks know what they are doing....(my plug for excellent businesses).

HarshReality001 and Todd G.

Thanks. Good to see you two are still loyal clubfrontier members.... if you look around the web, there aren't many vehicle forums like this one.... this is the best one I have seen.... I sound-deadened my wife's Nissan Altima and put the Kenwood DNX7140 in there.... I was excited to show the project on the Altima forum and didn't find any real interest or input, so I stopped.

HarshReality001 I miss that picture game.... haven't checked.... is it still going?

Daytime pictures coming up.

What's that sucker weigh? It's got to be 250lbs+.
About 130 or so.... a definite draw on MPG, though. I am getting about 1 MPG less with it on.

I would order that bumper. I just want one with noth'en on it tho. No bars and winch and stuff. I was on there web site, but didnt see any. Is our only option Shrock?
I think that Shrock is the only option for now. I wouldn't hesitate w/Shrock.... great product, small business, customer oriented, etc.... if you have the time (about 12 wks), then I would do it.... When I start treating this thing like a real truck, I will definitely go w/Shrock for the rock sliders and skid plates.
