Hi. I'm wondering if someone out there would like to show me around Wildomar (off Ortega Hwy) sometime in the future? At this point in time, I'd just like to build up a potential contacts list since I don't know when I'd be available to go.

While I have done some amount of off-road in days past, I still consider myself a newbie and would like to continue building up my experience and confidence off road...

Thanks!

Resurrecting this thread because I'm thinking about going on Wednesday, Nov. 24. Maybe meet at the trailhead at 8 a.m. and start exploring?

From what I gather, this place is targeted more for motorcycles and quads, but can accommodate 4x4s. There are some tight spots, but I've seen some Youtube videos of trucks roaming around the trails and it all looks do-able.

Again, I have no off-roading gear such as tow strap, winch, etc., but I do not believe the trails are that technical, anyway. I am somewhat new and wouldn't mind going with someone who has more experience than I.

Resurrecting this thread.

Since I last posted, I got me some skids, rear locker, recovery strap, and other bits and pieces. I did some mild off roading at Trabuco Canyon and would like to gain more experience. Anyone interested in going? I'd like to go with someone more experienced than I who might have more recovery gear just in case...

Not really experienced, but I am getting recovery straps in the next week or so. I'm interested in going if you could find a third person...

I believe wildlmar is closed. Went a few weekends ago to let the gf rip around on the dirt bike and could t get in cause the gate was locked. Talked to a local and said the gates been closed for awhile with no real reopening date

Thanks for the heads-up. I called the Trabuco Ranger station today and was told it is currently open and that they only close it for rains or fire.

Dnhaider30- if your on Facebook check out Socal xterra's and frontier is the newest one. There's also west coast nissans, more so Titans but a few frontys. And the last one that used to be good until the owner got a hair up his *** is Socal Nissan Offroad but that'd be last resort!

Hey looking for so-cal pals too. I just got my 2013 frontier and looking for any wisdom or meet ups with my socal bretheren.
If you want to do a little offroading, I'd be willing to do a small day trip to Trabuco Creek, there is nothing too serious there and is only a few hours. feel free to send me a DM.
