I would just like to replace the weenie factory horn.
No need for the train horns, for me. --well actually, the way Washington-state drivers are, I think a train horn would be appropriate.

I saw some small air horns the other day that I was attempted to buy and hook to a separate switch.

I still need to get off my duff and call federal signal for the cables to hook up the unitrol omega gear I got. Sirens (which I can't legally use...unless asked by a sheriffs deputy) an electronic air horn and PA. Someday...someday...

Sometimes i wish i had firetruck horns......or maby one off a train
a firetruck horn gets attention. i have one on the green truck and i use it often. it has a different personality than a train horn. a train horn says "hey, im loud, look at me" whereas a firetruck horn is more like "get the **** outta the way, shits on fire over there"

I can agree with that. I'd rather someone look at me so I can flip them off. Otherwise, they'll just take their time to politely move over because they think a firetruck is coming through. A firetruck won't ram them (but a train would), and a they know that. Either way, a loud noise on the road is a loud noise...

I wanted to get a Grover CX1054, but at 37 inches long it would be a tough fit.

i have the 21" version (model 1512). was around $140 or so new. i have mine mounted under the bed infront of where the spare tire normally sits, facing the passenger side. its loud no matter where you put it tho. the best part is you dont need a lot of psi to be loud like a train horn does. i run mine around 40 psi.
