I need to get the condenser replaced before the summer arrives. The shop has quoted me $300 to have the condenser (customer supplied) replaced, system dried and recharged/refilled. This includes the $90 per/H labor for the installation of the condenser. If I can install the condenser myself, they can then perform the typical A/C service and save me close to $160-$180!

Of course, the liability now sits on my hands, becuase they will no longer provide a warranty on the installation. I've replaced radiators, so this shouldnt be any different, except for a few specific bolts/lines that I must be careful on.

Anyone have a PDF of this procedure?

2003 Nissan Frontier XE 2WD - 4Cyl

Thanks

ive done it. its not hard. you need to take out the shroud, radiator and then unhook the ac lines and pull it out. you can remove fan for easier uninstall. your just gunna have to get in there and start undoing stuff. you will figure it out

fan shroud is 2 screws, rad doesnt need to come out, u have enough room even with the shroud in.. (i think) then its just 4 bolts that hold the compressor onto the block, then 2 lines and 1 wire. and thats it, if u cant figure out how to un-connect the wire.. (like me) just cut it and spice it in.

oh.. and a belt :)
