I'm a little stumped on my 06 Froniter.
I have a drivetrain howl at high speeds (greater than 40mph), it's present when going stright or turning right. Any slight left turn the howl goes away. It gets louder with speed. It doesn't seem get quieter when braking. Putting the truck in 4wd makes no difference.
I figured this was any easy fix and replaced the front left wheel bearing. I also put on new tires at the same, but the howl persists.
Im confident the sound is coming from front end. It can be felt in the floor boards. This leads me to believe the right wheel bearing is culprit, but I have never experienced the bearing making less noise when loaded (turning left).
Thoughts?
