It sounds like you've got it pretty well figured out, I'd like to do something similar but with a larger TT and the ability for all six of us to ride together, without buying a different tow vehicle.
Your above quote is what got my attention the most, I'd love to see pictures of it on a 50ish degrees slope of any terrain! The most aggressive I've tackled yet was 80° - 85° slope but under 24cm tall.
