I went down to NAPA to get Amsoil for my differentials and they had no 80w-90. I checked the website and the Severe Gear 75w-90 is listed as a substitute for 80w-90. I went ahead and bought enough for both diffs, but I hesitate to stray from what the manual calls for.

Has anybody else run into this? **I'm working on my 06 pathfinder**--same front diff as my frontier.

Thanks

I'm talking about the front diff in a pathfinder. Pathfinder and frontier are the same and both call for 80w90.

Doesn't the m226 require something like 75w140?

I would be very hesistant to put a 90 into a diff requiring 140.
Yes, m226 does require 75w-140 but like I said in my post, I used 75w-90 in my FRONT diff.
